Most visitors typically spend more time outside than indoors, enjoying one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. On the off chance it does rain (hard to believe in Scotland, but it does happen!) keep cosy in The Bothy.
Heating is via a cosy woodburning stove which is supplemented by electric panel heaters. A supply of kindling and logs is provided. There is a selection of books, games and DVDs in the lounge. The Bothy is also equipped with hairdryer, heated towel rail and radio alarm.
Fuel, power and pack for the wood-burner are included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in rent. A cot and highchair are available on request, as are laundry facilities.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome free of charge, but we respectfully request that they are not allowed on furniture.
The Bothy operates a strict ‘no smoking’ policy; please do so outside the dwelling.
The nearest shop is in Kirriemuir, 9 miles away. The nearest restaurants are at The Clova Hotel, 6 miles, or The Drovers at Memus, 7 miles. Both offer very good food at reasonable prices. There is no mobile phone signal at the cottage, but reception can be picked up a short walk up the hill(!) or drive about a mile south. There is a public phone box at Clova village (6 miles).
